3 PEAKS CHALLENGE IN MEMORY OF SUE MOSES
As you are aware, mum passed away last month. What you may (or may not) be aware of, is that she died as a result of a rare appendix cancer which only 1 in 1,000,000 people are diagnosed with per year. Unfortunately, research into treatment of this cancer is hugely underfunded due to its rarity.
Once we discovered this, we vowed to raise as much money for a given charity (Pseudomyxoma Survivor) who fund the research into treatment for this terrible disease. Currently, we have raised approximately £6,000 in 3 weeks. Although this amount is already incredible, we still want to raise as much as possible throughout the year, and spread our wings to as many people as possible in asking for help.
One of the challenges we are going to take on is the 3 peaks in June (12th – 15th) which entails tackling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours (including travelling time).
Please find below a link to the GoFundMe page for any potential donations, (this will only show £1,500 raised as we are using different platforms to raise money for the same charity):
Thanks in advance for any help you or the club may be able to provide.
